Vishvesh Kandolkar is an architect-urban designer and is an Associate Professor at Goa College of Architecture. He started his career as an architect in 2001, when he joined the firm Mistry Architects in Bangalore. Subsequently in 2002 he worked as an associate architect for the firm The Bodhi Tree, which he co-established. In 2007, he completed his Masters of Architecture in Urban Design from CEPT-University and was awarded the Patrick Geddes Award for the best graduating student. He has been teaching since 2009, and specializes in the theory of Settlement Studies, and has conducted Urban Design studio, Design Thesis studio, and Dissertation studio. He is often invited as an external examiner and an expert to CEPT-University, Ahmedabad (for Master’s and Bachelor’s program), and School of Architecture, Navrachana University, Baroda. He has also conducted workshops for Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Goa Chapter, and contributes op-eds to the The Goan. His writings are archived here.
